Allie.Photo // Fall Boho Wedding Inspiration, Styled Shoot

December 7, 2016

I had a vision and a dream and an awesome team to pull it off!!! I had been wanting to design a styled session, but with my busy schedule it always seemed impossible to add to the “to-do” list. But, when you want to do something so badly – it just happens. When you have amazing people around you, things come together effortlessly. I loved this perfectly fall location and was so inspired by the rusty and golden hues as well as by my gorgeous models.
Let me tell you – Josh & Destiney are just JOYFUL. So in love, and so amazing. I chose to photograph them again to gift them with updated “wedding portraits.” Three years ago they took a chance on me, they were only my third wedding to photograph by myself. They trusted me with their most important day. It was truly a pleasure to capture their passion again!

Picking out the dress proved to be a challenge for two GOOD reasons- Chantilly Place has an incredible selection of dresses, and our model Destiney looked good in everything!! We chose this lacegown because we could tell Destiney felt gorgeous & comfortable in it. You know that look in a girls eye when they look in the mirror and think to themselves “I feel like the best version of ME in this.” The delicate straps led to a gorgeous low back. The dress showed off her body so perfectly with that delicate lace. Our groom Josh gave an adamant “YEP!” approval as soon as he saw his gorgeous wife in it. Thanks to bridal consultant Katy at Chantilly Place for helping us to find “the one”!

For flowers, we scavenged Pinterest for ideas and inspiration. We kept seeing a trend that we nicknamed “go big or go home”- 2016 brides love those BIG bouquets!! We knew we wanted something big, with a loose look incorporating lots of greenery for that “earthy crunchy” boho style. Leave it to Lauren to come up with something absolutely perfect- she even snuck in some actual kale into our bouquet! So awesome!! I see this taking off as the new trend of 2017. 😉 Add in a touch of color through pink/cranberry tones and we had our perfect bridal bouquet! Lauren also created the perfect headpiece for our bride, a simple crown of greenery, and a great corsage for our groom.
I think the team at Spa Nijoli had the easy job ;)… they just had to amplified our Destiney’s gorgeousness! The soft curls, luscious long eyelashes, and the simple yet perfect makeup. Add in a spray tan to give that perfect glow to her skin and that “on fleek” manicure and wow – you’ve got a BEAUTIFUL bride! And yes, even Josh got his hair done for this session, because even grooms need to be looking their best on the big day!

Special thanks to the amazing vendors who made this shoot possible:
