LAID BACK WEEKEND // Wow, after months of quarantine you think weekends would just "blend in", but this one has been amazing. It feels different knowing that hope is on the horizon and warm weather is here to stay. This laid back weekend has been so refreshing.

5 YEARS ANNIVERSARY // I celebrated with Linda and Leang last weekend with photos in honor of their 5year anniversary. They have such a joy and happiness about them that its contagious. They are both serving others all the time and so full of life and joy. When Linda let me know their wedding celebration for this weekend was canceled she was devastated, but has taken it in stride. I know today isn't going to be easy for you both, but with your family, friends, and community - I hope you can make it through and we'll be partying in no time together! 2021...here they come!

LONG LIVE SMALL BUSINESSES // The stories I've heard of communities and individuals coming together to support small businesses has warmed my heart. I have been the recipient of some of these outpourings of love and am so thankful!!! This @nataliefranke shirt was a necessary purchase this quarantine (as is the hair dye that I finally bought and did myself, just for this photo). The proceeds of this swag support small businesses like mine, and millions of others.
While wearing it I had the chance to talk to my boys about the joy and necessity of small business, the impact they have on our economy and the pride we can take in them. I encouraged my sons to do what they love, and if they can't find that - to make their own way and create, dream, inspire others. Being a small business owner is exahusting, trying, and often disappointing, but conversations like that remind me why I do it.

ONE DAY AT A TIME // One day at a time.
That was the motto as we started out in quarantine.
One Day at a Time. Patience. Waiting.
March was tricky.
April got easier. I wore less makeup, probably gained a few extra pounds from all the cooking, and found silver linings in this whole situation.
May - well, its one day at a time and we'll see what comes.

WORTH IT // I am just looking back through old images and thankful for these times I got to be with clients, friends, family.
Seven months ago this shot was taken in anticipation of my niece arriving. Now she is here and she is better than we could have ever hoped for! She is perfect and life is so good when she smiles, even if we have to watch her over FaceTime. Waiting is not always easy, but it's always worth it when something that sweet is at the end. #alliephotoFAMILY .
