Cori and Brendan…for twelve years their relationship has been building up to this moment.
On a warm summer’s day their waiting came to an end. Cori and Brendan’s ceremony was filled so much emotion and love. His brother-in-law, Ryan, performed the ceremony. Just 10 months ago Ryan was one of my grooms! He did a great job and shared about how important the bond of marriage truly is. Cori and Brendan shared heartfelt personal vows that had everyone smiling ear to ear and some of us even crying. During their ceremony they lit a candle that had significant meaning to them. It was the same candle that Cori’s sister and her husband lit at their wedding. They were unable to attend beacuse they are both serving in the armed forces and stationed overseas. It was a sweet way to incorporate them into the serivce. After they were pronounced husband and wife – there was a collective sigh of excitement and joy. They were finally married!!!!
During their first moments together I loved how much the couple was laughing. They actually said, “This is so weird!!! We’re finally married!” They couldn’t believe it was their turn and all the years of planning came together so perfectly.
Pierce Farm at Witch Hill in Topsfield has beautiful grounds and a gorgeous barn for photos. We took advantage of the summery weather and captured photos during cocktail hour and after the first dance, during golden hour. Some of my favorite aspects of the day were the handmade touches. Cori is so talented and created tons of handscripted elements for their big day. From sigange to marbel place cards, bridesmaid’s gifts, and more – she did it all. I was so impressed with the gorgeous calligraphy. The flowers were stunning and the rustic, yet classy, style really showed off the couple’s personality.
Every moment between these two sweethearts is so “simple.” They fit together perfectly and are a breeze to photograph. In no time at all photos were done & they were back inside, dancing, listening to sweet toasts and were given a lovely surprise. Cori’s sister, who I mentioned above, recorded a special video for them and it was shown at the reception. This was planned by the maid of honor and was a great gift for the couple. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
Once the dancing started, the floor stayed busy and everyone had a great night celebrating a love a dozen years in the making!
CONGRATS CORI & BRENDAN!
