OUR 2017 started off in a magical way! We spent three wonderful days at Disney World! I gotta shoot you straight, I was a little nervous about bringing the kids, if the trip would be fun or just crazy and stressful. But, I WAS WRONG! It was all fun, all good and so magical. Here are some of my suggestions for you if you ever plan a trip; whether with your family, as a honeymoon, or just as a couple. It’s such a fun place and we can’t wait to go again!!!
1. PLAN AHEAD. We used a Disney Travel Agent, but maybe you have a friend who is a Disney Fanatic! Use them to help you plan ahead. The earlier you plan the better your reservations and fast passes will be! By using a Disney Travel Agent we were able to get the best deals and incentives.
2. Get the PHOTO PASS. Because of the Photo Pass I was able to actually be in photos!!! It was awesome to have them capture our memories along side us without alway shaving to have our phone in hand or camera out. I love the fun photo pass pictures and they easily linked to our magic bands the and My Disney Experience App for quicky delivery! The photos are not just with characters but all around the park and easily accessible!
3. Use the MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE app! It’s a great app for planning yoru trip and they staying on schedule. We used it to change reservations while in the park, be on time for all our fast passes, and used the park map option a lot. Be sure to bring an external phone charger with you so you can juice up your battery, they seem to drain fast in the park. I lost Ryan once because my phone was dead, but luckily a friendly “neighbor” during fireworks let me use their charger!
4. Wear COMFORTABLE shoes. I can’t stress this enough! The amount of walking is crazy! You will want the most comfortable shoes possible. My feet were killing, but it was all worth it!
5. Get the MEAL PLAN. There is no denying that I LOVE TO EAT! I dont think our family could’ve staying within budget without the meal plan. We saved literally hundred of dollars by using it and had some great meal experiences including eating at the Beasts’ Castle and with Winnie the Pooh and the Gang at the Crystal Palace. These meals can be pricy, but the meal plan helps this become an almost “all-inclusive ” style vacation.
6. Wear MATCHING TEE SHIRTS because, serioiusly – when else can you get away with being so dorky. Not to mention, its a great way to find your family members and keep up with your kiddos.
7. RELAX and have fun. I can honestly say, I did relax at Disney. I soaked in the magic and enjoyed my children so much. We were able to relax because we were organized and not pressed for time or stressed. It was so much fun and so if you go in with the right mindset you can make this the best it can be!
