Summer is the best! I know a few friends who love winter, who love spring, who LOOOOVE fall – but here are my reasons why summer is the best time to do your family, graduate, and engagement photos!
1. The Light! There is no denying the fact that the summer sun glows brightest and longest. I am obsessed with evening sessions and love to see the sky show off in the summer time. Last summer I was able to photograph many sessions had warm glows and some even ended in beautiful sunsets.
2. “Summer time and the livin’ is easy!” Every summer there is no doubt that New Englanders all have more “laid back” schedules. The living is a bit easier. There are half day Fridays or sometimes no work at all. Kids don’t have school and there are less sports schedules to shuffle. There are holiday weekends and there is so much to celebrate. When the sun doesn’t even go down until 8:45 we have almost all night to capture cuteness.
3. Terifically Tanned. I dont’ know about you, but winter does a number on my skin and on my kiddos’ too. Summer brings bronzed shoulders so you can wear that off the shoulder top or dress, freckled noses, and perfect pedicures so you can rock your favorite sandals or no shoes at all.
4. THE BEACH!!!! Yes, I’ve said it literally one million times. I’m a beach lover. I love to photograph it, sit on it, and visit it. I already booked one family’s destination beach shoot, maybe yours is next?
