Emily is also a photographer and I was so happy when she asked me to capture her maternity photos in Boston Public Garden this spring. We had the first “hot day” after a chilly spring and it was amazing!!!! I always love photographing other photographers, because they ” just know” what to do.
I loved meeting their little rescue pup, Lita, because after all she is their first baby! Lita was very excited to jump and wanted the play the whole session. Nick could always calm her down and wrangler her for a few photos of the three of them. Emily has the cutest bump and this couple cannot wait to meet the little boy inside! We chatted a lot about baby names, so if they use one I offered up, I definitely will be taking all the credit.
I am often asked about all the “tourists” at BPG and how that may affect your photos. I actually love the “confetti” of people that sprinkle the backdrop of these photos and many others in the Public Garden. It shows the vibe of Boston and adds a little bit of city charm to your photos. If you don’t like background distractions, this may not be the place for you – or we can choose a time of day that is less populated and hope for the best! As you’ll notice, we are always able to work around people and create intimate photos even on a VERY busy afternoon day.
