Fourteen years ago today…we said, “I do.”
I honestly didn’t know what I was getting into! I knew I was in love and I knew he was perfect and perfect for me. But I didn’t know I was going to be getting into the greatest adventure of my life. This man and I don’t live crazy lives. We aren’t normally found on beaches called “Paradise Island.” We’re normal to the outside world. But, in my eyes we’re extraordinary. We truly love one another more every day than the day before. We are able to spend countless hours together each week, unlike many couples – we cherish that. We know our marriage is a very important part to build our family on. We seem to still “like” each other, a lot! We have “secrets” that no one else would ever “get.” We have a simple life. A simply perfect one, filled with riches of love and joy. This verse wasn’t used at our wedding years ago. I don’t think it would have been appropriate then. We didn’t know what we had found, now we do.
