Summer in Wisconsin is almost magical. The fields and rolling hills go on as far as the eye can see with corn over 6 feet tall. It is warm all day and the sun seems to never set, but when it does, it bursts into a million shades of pink and orange. It is pretty beautiful. I love going home every summer for some rest and relaxation, and for lots of shenanagins.
During our time in Wisconsin it has become a tradition to be sure to capture our family photos. Its usually the first time during the week that we all get a little “dressed up” otherwise we’re often found in swimsuits and the little boys are running around shirtless from hours playing at the pond.
I have mentioned a million times how much I LOVE summer family photos. Everyone is tan, more relaxed, and while on vacation – there is no better time than to set a side an hour for family fun while capturing great memories.
When planning family photos I always suggest a color scheme for the family and we work around that. This year we worked with wine, blush, navy, and grey-blue. I love how these turned out and on this overcast evening we all “pop.” I love all the people in these photos and cherish the quiet…ok, not “quiet” hahaha, but the “slow” time we get to be together. In the country, laughing and playing.
