National Sibling Day!!!!
Since the rise of social media is seems like every day is a “national” something, but this day is one I can get behind! I love my siblings and am so thankful my mother had us all! It’s such a joy to be able to share life with people who really know you and love you any way. The endless stories we have to share, as well as the connection and bond that is unbreakable is something someone with siblings can only understand. My husband is an only child, so like any big family would do, my brothers and brother-in-law adopted him right into the family. He now has 7 “siblings” that he never had before and we’re so thankful for that. Whether you have some by blood, by marriage, by adoption, or any other form – these peers are really a great gift.
I have the distinct pleasure of photographing so many unique pairs of siblings. From twins to half-siblings and adult siblings, too – it’s always so much fun to see the dynamic between brothers and sisters. I ESPECIALLY love seeing sibilngs meet for the first time, and witnessing their first moments together at home as a family. The look from the older chidlren as a new baby enters the home is priceless. Their interactions with the new little Mr. or Miss is always entertaining. Sometimes they are gentle, sweet, and whispering, but more often than not they are their crazy selves!

Meeting a bride & groom’s siblings at their wedding is always a highlight for me. These siblings are often the Maid of Honor or Best Man, or in the bridal party.
