Boston is the best city! How can I possibly choose a favorite location for family photos? I cannot, but somehow I keep coming back to the Public Garden for more! This backdrop never disappoints in any season.
The Simmons Family has trusted me with their annual photos for 4 years straight and it’s been so much fun to watch these boys grow up. They are so playful, silly, and a ton of fun every time. I know we can always count on a “chocolate bar bribery”, and most of the time they don’t even need it. For their session this year we had an unseasonably warm day. It was supposed to feel like fall, but instead we were enjoying an “extended summer.” The boys were sure to bring their sunglasses and we couldn’t forget to capture some “cool” photos with them.
Even when the garden is packed with people, there is more than enough room for everyone. As a photographer, I love the creative challenge of capturing a clean shot among the crowds.
Kudos for the Simmons family for expressing their laid back style in a coordinated way. Mixing stripes, checks, solids, and a fun pattern totally worked! The choice of greys and blues really works against the green grass and trees of the garden. Remember, that sometimes keeping it simple is the best choice when choosing outfits for your family photos at Boston Public Garden.
