Ever wonder what’s happening behind the scenes once your portrait session or wedding is over?
I start by backing up your files in a ‘cloud’ and online and then begining image preparation, better know as: EDITING.
Lots of EDITING.
With every session booked there is a hidden benefit each of my client’s receives. That benefit is years of experience in custom photoshop editing. In 2001 I used photoshop for the first time and was addicted. I took one class in college and since then am completely self taught, with thousands of hours of practice.
After your session I spend hours making your images extra special: color toning, skin touch ups, background fixes, hair fly-aways, the list goes on. Some sessions require more than others, of course, but never the less each image delivered to you is carefully previewed, hand edited in photoshop, and delivered only when I’m proud of it.
Some edits are subtle and others not. My goal is always to make your session look as natural as possible. I want to reflect the natural surroundings, lighting, and mood of the session at the time it took place. Here are some examples of how great images were made AHHHHHMAZING!!
Extending the background on the lower left and fixing her skin ever so slightly saved this image of this sweet baby girl!
Her natural sun-kissed cheeks were flawless so we just touched up some fly-away hairs because of that day’s humidity.
At this wedding, it was overcast and the little bit of sun hid for a moment during this shot. Thanks to editing and color corrections it looks like a beautiful summer’s day!
This sweetie was photographed on a “brisk” fall morning. After editing you would never know it was cold and her red nose is gone!

Newborns can be challenging because their skin is changing all the time. Thanks to some light correction and blemish removal he looks fresh and new!
