Sarah and Matt’s classy Art Deco inspired Downtown Chicago wedding was unbelievable! From the moment I stepped into the beautiful rental unit they chose to get ready in, the room was a buzz of excitement. With all the planning behind them, their day was here and they were going to enjoy it to the fullest!!!
After prepping and reading sentimental letters to one another, Matt and Sarah met on a rooftop to share a first look before all the formalities began. It was a balmy 30 degrees, but the sun started to peek out and Matt was so excited to see his bride. He told us about how he remembered standing on a rooftop similar to this one, almost 2 years ago ready to propose to her – knowing she was definitely the one! When they saw each other and embraced everything faded away and the day now was about becoming Mr. and Mrs.!
We headed to Milton J Olive Park on Chicago’s lakeshore, and were reminded where the city got its nickname! The wind and cold accompanied us, but so did the stellar skyline views, family members, and a bridal party up for anything. They also had their pup, Joan, join them for a “ first look” and were able to cuddle her a bit before saying goodbye while on their honeymoon. After braving the freezing air, we headed to Union Station for warmer indoor photos.
Sarah’s & Matt’s ceremony at the Downtown Renaissance was so heartfelt. The room filled with family and friends was all so excited for this couple. Sarah’s father officiated and made it very personal. I absolutely loved the vows this bride and groom shared, as they recounted their love story and gave everyone a glimpse into the reason they were standing there making this commitment. The deal was sealed with a BIG kiss and we headed to Untitled Supper Club, a place this couple has shared many special memories.
Untitled Supper Club is a contemporary revival of a classic Prohibition-era Chicago supper club and had so much character. This was a totally unique space for a wedding reception and hosted a real “party” atmosphere. During speeches Matt praised his new wife for her amazing vision for their day, and this location really brought it all together.
As they danced into the night, with all their friends and family members we could see the happiness and feel the love!
Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Miotti, It was a joy and an honor to watch your dream wedding unfold and capture it all!
