Today was perfect…okay…no it wasn’t. Today was a typical “mother’s day.” A day calming whiny over-tired children, who though they have best intentions to make the day about you, but are small selfish humans. I did cry, like twice (okay maybe ten times)….but in the big picture. I’m a mom. That is what this day celebrates. Being a mom, a mom who has the daunting and powerful job of raising children who will hopefully be assets to our society.
So, though tired, sinus-infected, and annoyed – I remembered. I’m blessed. I’m thankful. I’m a mom.
Here are a few moments my hubs captured of me and my wild boys today. During this time, they were so sweet and cuddly and for these moments it was “the perfect day.” I hope I don’t just remember these photographed moments though, but the whole day – all the imperfections too. To me, being a mom isn’t about being perfect, its about being there for them. Showing them real life and how to navigate through it.
Blurry but HAD to keep this one….its our life. It’s a blur…but it’s fun and we’re always THANKFUL to God for these boys.
