Alex and Brittany’s engagement photos in Boston highlighted some of my favorite locations and I can’t wait to share with you some tips about doing your engagement photos in Boston, MA – my favorite city!

The Boston Public Garden is one of the most beautiful areas of Boston. It has gorgeous landscaping, flowers, water, the classic bridge. All that gorgeous scenery also comes with tourists upon tourists! This is actually something that makes Boston sessions so unique. Your photos will most certainly be “speckled” with tourists, showing the life and vibe of this amazing historical place that people from all over the world love to visit.  However, due to the amazing landscape and variation, I’m often able to hide or avoid those visitors to make this park look all your own, see below!

As we pan out, you can see the speckles of people loving the park and the classic willow trees as much as I do! The ducks are also a classic part of Boston Public Garden and almost will always make an appearance the I photograph couples or families here.

Another beautiful part of the garden is this vintage iron fencing that circles the entire park. The dark black contrast compared to the beautiful light and joyful smiles makes this photographer’s heart happy!

Just a short walk from BPG is the most famous street in Boston, Acorn Street! You most certainly will find tourists and instagram-worthy visitors capturing their selfies on this street, as well as another photographer or two. It is a spot that cannot be missed and is always a joy to capture. While waiting our turn I loved using some of the side streets for these next shots! The greenery, brick, and flowers are so beautiful!

Acorn Street in Boston never disappoints. This street 310 years old. The cobblestones from 1708 are always tricky to trod, but completely worth it!!! One of the best attributes is the American Flag that flies over the middle of the street.

Right around the corner is another “public alley” that has old fashioned lights and brick. I always love to stop by this little nook and snap a few extras while we’re on our way back to the park!
