TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME!
Fenway Park is one of the most iconic ballparks in the history of baseball and it’s in our own backyard. The classic architecture, green and brick – lined with pennants and banners celebrating the Sox and their championships is a favorite backdrop of mine! The Boston Red Sox won the World Series last year and so what better way to celebrate than with some of America’s biggest fans.
Some of these families are long time supporters who have been cheering on the Red Sox since childhood and others are new to the city. The red sox represent American ideals like family and traditions of coming together to celebrate something bigger than yourself. Whether you follow the team or not, and if they are winning or losing, it doesn’t matter- this is a lovable Boston establishment and a “homerun” of a photo session!
I cannot explain how thankful I was that the weather worked out so perfectly for these photos. Since they were taken in June, right during season, its hard to find a date and a rain date where the Sox are not in town and we have the park to ourselves. This date was chosen months in advance and I was so grateful that the sun was shining and everything went smoothly. Mini Sessions always have a rain date plan, but I love when it works out the first go-around.
Enjoy these Red Sox fans and their fun night at Fenway!
The Barth Family! This family is the reason I created this mini session. They love baseball, and even though Brendan, the oldest boy in the photos, is a Yankees fan he dressed the part for mom and dad today. We also took photos in their spring baseball uniforms and celebrated some Chelmsford Youth Baseball, too.
It was a total joy to see this Father and Son at the ballpark. I know for a fact that this dad is a HUGE Red Sox fan and is raising his child right! I cannot think of a better way to celebrate Father’s Day than with photos like this of the two of them enjoying one of Dad’s favorite places.
This was Adriano’s first trip to Fenway Park and at 18 months old, he was loving it! His family is moving away from Boston soon, so these photos are a great way to honor the city they love and that he was born in.
Glen grew up cheering on the Sox and Krista has been routing for the hometown team since they have been married. This session was to celebrate their love and to give this mom and dad a special date night. I absolutely love these photos and it was so much fun to photograph this cute couple. Love & Baseball – it doesn’t get much better than this!
