I was recently on the other side of the camera for my family’s photo session this summer while on vacation in Ocean City, NJ. I connected with a photographer in early 2017 at a conference and we stayed in touch. When I knew we were headed for NJ I trusted her to capture our family session. It really put things into perspective for me. WOW – it’s a lot of trust to give someone your time, money, and attention to capture your family’s precious moments and memories. I am very thankful to have chosen Katie, from Love and Luck Photo and she did an amazing job. It made me even more appreciative to all of you who have trusted me to do the same.
My next blog post is going to be tips on prepping for your annual session so you can have a great experience!
Scroll through to see the reality behind each photo and the joy they capture in spite of it not being what we sometimes wish for to be the perfect session.
Reality Drop #1: My children were spastic crazy during this session. But, they were given freedom to be themselves and have fun. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Reality Drop #2: My husband had a RED cast on his arm during our session. Katie did a great job hiding it, but this photo is one of my favorites anyway.
Reality Drop #3: Shepherd broke is glasses and had to wear these backups that kept falling down his nose, but still adorable!
Reality Drop #4: My dress neckline’s button popped off right before leaving to the session. Guess what? A safety pin worked and you can’t even tell!
Reality Drop #5: The kids were yelled at a lot during this shot to just stand still…didn’t happen. Still love it even though my hair is a mess and my boys are wild.
Reality Drop #6: We were definitely talking about poop or farts in this photo.
