Salisbury Beach is a favorite place for this family, and their pup! Through the years I’ve photographed Maggie and Lily, and Henry as they’ve grown up. It’s so much fun to see them each year and I couldn’t help but share some of their other sessions (keep scrolling). Salisbury beach was a perfect spot for beach photos with these girls and their dog on a warm September evening. It felt like we were the only people at the beach!
Maggie and Lily are beautiful and fun young ladies who always make the best of every photo shoot. Henry is such a cute dog and so playful. He practically smiles for the camera on demand, so it doesn’t get much better for a photographer.
Do you want to include your dog in the family photos ?
Don’t stress about it, here are some tips and tricks for including your pup.
1. Have a “helper” come to wrangle the dog so you can relax. Maggie and Lily’s mom is always near by to hold the leash, or bribe Henry with treats.
2. Wear something comfortable that you don’t mind holding a dog in. If you’re worried about pet hair, or getting a bit dirty, bringing a dog might not be a great idea. Instead wear something that you don’t mind “relaxing” in, while you cuddle your pet.
3. Choose a location that is dog friendly. Some locations do not allow pets, other’s only do after house (like the beach). So choose a time of day or location that is dog-friendly. I can give you plenty of suggestions, as most of my clients do have puppies they like to include.
