Hannah G // Class of 2019, Senior Portraits in Downtown Lowell

Graduates

filed in

Hannah is a senior at Billerica High School and is excited for her senior year! I couldn’t believe it when I got the email that it was time to do her senior portraits. I have known this beautiful young lady since she was about 5 years old. She has grown to be such a talented dancer and over all graceful and sweet girl.
She chose to do her portraits in Downtown Lowell so I thought this was a perfect opportunity to share with you one of my favorite spots in Lowell and why I love shooting in this setting!

Downtown Lowell has such a rich history. The mill and textile factories are now resurrected as apartments and places of business. Lowell has amazing classic stone and brick paved streets that look great in any season. I can photograph a session in this area 12 months of the year and, besides the occasional snowbank, get the same look. The evening we did Hannah’s session was extra warm for September, so there were still beautiful summery flowers and the fountains were going. There is variety around every corner.

The classic train car reading “Boston to Maine” is a highlight of any trip downtown and can be found near the Lowell Visitor center. Another thing I absolutely love about this area is the vintage faded paintings on the sides of the brick buildings. These faded works of art provide such great style to an otherwise boring brick wall. If looking for a great photo location, its not necessary to drive all the way to Boston for that city vibe – we have it right here and its beautiful!!! That is probably why this city’s current motto is “Alive. Inspiring. Lowell”
