Larkyna and Robert were planning their dream wedding on the weekend of their 10th dating anniversary! Thanks to Covid, that all changed, but they still couldn’t wait to get married. On a beautiful Tuesday evening in Downtown Lowell at Boarding House Park, they said, “I do!” It was the 10th anniversary, from the day they met and made for a very memorable wedding date.
Their family members surrounded them on the steps of the Boarding House Park pavilion as they said the vows and promised to forever together. This couple was beaming with joy and everyone was so happy to witness this special day for a once-in-a-lifetime couple! Larkyna and Robert have such a beautiful and special connection. When they are together, it feels like no one else is around. They lock eyes, share glances and act like they are 18 again! I was so blessed to be able to get to know them a bit as we walked around the UMass Lowell campus and photograph them for the first time as husband and wife.
September 1st was honestly the MOST perfect weather day we could’ve asked for. The golden light was beautiful shooting through the trees. It was 75 and comfortable making for a dreamy setting. After daylight portraits I couldn’t help but take them up to a rooftop for views of the city. This playful couple made the most of every photo-minute and we had a ton of fun. These images and this wedding proved to me that you don’t need “THE BIG DAY” all you need is each other, your family, and a photographer…and it can be perfect!
